TESTIMONIALS

Mary's workshop was thought provoking and very powerful. I really appreciated how she created community and trust in creating a safe space-even in a virtual setting--and doing that very quickly with individuals she had just met. She created a space where empathy prevailed and that allowed individuals to be vulnerable when sharing, but also empowered. It was a great session for our participants and I am very grateful that Mary shared her wisdom with the Defy community.
-Melissa O’Dell, Executive Director, Defy Ventures Illinois

I was leading a group for women healing their relationship with food and body image. Mary led a journaling and memoir writing workshop for the group. What I loved most about her workshop was that she shared HOW embodied writing works in a mindful, organized way before leading us through the practice...so we knew exactly what we were doing and why. Then, she brought a great degree of presence and creativity to leading an embodied writing practice that left participants feeling empowered and connected to themselves!

It’s been amazing being in your class and seeing how you facilitated the group with such validation, support, and psychological safety!
-Sopheak N., Host of Jorjek Podcast

I just want to say you are a great teacher. You should be very proud of your achievement in the class today. You had direction, courage, and still soft enough for everyone in the class to feel safe.
-Erica L., Actor/Director

Mary left us all feeling inspired, opened, and deeply, deeply touched. Her process for writing and connecting with her clients is such a vulnerable, beautiful, and satisfying one. If you're looking to write a memoir or even just to connect with your inner self and hear what that voice is eager to say, find Mary!
